1. Who we are
This website is run by GORKY STUDIO, a recording studio in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, together with its label GORKY RECORDS ("GORKY STUDIO", "we", "us"). Contact: info@gorkystudio.com.
2. What data we collect
- Messages you send us. When you contact us by email, WhatsApp or Telegram, we receive your name, contact details and anything you write, including your order or booking request.
- Files you share. Audio stems, demos and other materials you send for mixing, mastering, production or release.
- Booking and payment details. Dates, services, invoices and payment confirmations. Card data is processed by the payment provider, not stored by us.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) for security and to keep the site running.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build marketing profiles.
3. Data stored only on your device
The site saves a few settings in your browser's local storage: theme (light/dark), currency, click sounds on/off, the last track played and the contents of your cart. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to send us your order. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
4. Third-party content
The music player streams 30-second previews and links to Spotify. When a preview plays or you open a Spotify link, your browser connects to Spotify's servers, and Spotify's own privacy policy applies. Fonts, images and videos are served from our own server.
5. Why we use your data
- to answer your questions and prepare quotes;
- to book sessions and deliver the services you order (contract);
- to issue invoices and meet our legal and tax obligations;
- to keep the website secure (legitimate interest).
We process personal data in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and, for visitors from the European Economic Area, the GDPR.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers we need to run the business (hosting, email and messaging services, payment processors, accountants) and, for label releases, with our distribution partners — only what is needed to release your music. We may disclose data if required by law.
7. International transfers
Some providers (for example email and messaging services) may process data outside the UAE. Where this happens we rely on the provider's safeguards for international transfers.
8. How long we keep data
Messages and project files: for the duration of the project and up to 12 months after, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Invoices and accounting records: as long as UAE law requires (currently at least 5 years).
9. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or object to its processing. Write to info@gorkystudio.com and we will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the UAE Data Office or, in the EEA, to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
Our services are intended for people aged 18 or over. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must contact us and agree to the booking.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
